Royalty Postcards by Rotary

Welcome

The Rotary Photographic Co. Ltd Royalty Series Postcards Gallery

The Rotary Photographic Co. Ltd of London, England was established in 1901 however they had registered portrait studios as early as 1897. The company closed in April, 1916 during World War II due to the issue of international communications being interrupted and also rising production costs. The public had other concerns on their minds and this all contributed to the demise of the company.

The company used rotary presses to print their postcards. This introducedmass-produced photographic postcards to the United Kingdom. Rotary published a great many postcards with a variety of topics from actors & actresses to military and naval figures to royalty.

Most of the postcards are individually numbered and lettered in the series which makes them highly collectible for royalty postcard collectors as we all search for that elusive one missing from a series!

Check out the Gallery the which offers many of the royalty postcards issued by Rotary, sorted by series #.

Also in the Gallery - some J. BEAGLES SERIES - postcards of the children (and spouses) of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert

Also in the Gallery - some W. DOWNEY SERIES - postcards that feature some of the most beautiful portraits of Victorian-era royalty!

Also now adding British and Foreign statesmen to the Gallery as well.
